These are my favorite mech designs by far ordered from favorite to least favorite top left to bottom right.
I absolutely think it needs to have chicken legs though.
Ultimately, I think it would be a better idea to solidify how we want the mech to move (whether or not it's going to use a Jetpack or we're going to have it switch into a 6-DOF flight mode) before we re-design the mech.

 

Also, keep in mind that they're not BattleTech/Mech-Warrior building-sized mechs. They're about 10 feet or 3 meters tall. Think ED209 from Robocop.
